The Lonestars College Program is a combination of programs, leadership and opportunities to support the ongoing goals of the talented and committed player.

 

COLLEGE SHOWCASES 

 

College Showcase events are key to the exposure of players to candidate coaches and support staff from Colleges and Universities across the country. The Lonestar SC hosts two events annually - the Lonestar Showdown in November for Boys and the Lonestar Showcase in February for Girls.  In addition to our own events the high-school aged teams within the club also participate in a combination of other Showcase events across the country.  Over the course of the 2005-2006 soccer year there were over 400 college coaches viewing some combination of boy and girl players within the Lonestars.

 

COLLEGE PROFILES

The Lonestars have prepared an online system designed to support the individual player presentation of High School and Club information.  This profile and roster system is integrated into the toolkit provided to all teams within the Lonestars. 

 

COLLEGE TOURS / VISITS 

 

The Lonestars teams also plan annual visits and tours to various College campuses and programs to expose the players within the club to the overall experience of playing at the next level.  

 

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS

 

Various guest speakers that have included members of the US National Team staffs, Division I and II Coaches as well as professionals present information and offer Q&A sessions available to all Lonestars players, parents and families.
